
IHS (Interfaith
Help Service) - Work a two-hour shift as a member of
a team (serving with a volunteer from one of the other sponsoring
congregations) interview and screen clients, give food to eligible
persons, maintain record of service; prepare the sacks of food
which are given to those who come to the Church seeking assistance
with food.
WorshipAcolyte (Youth and Adult) - Individuals who assist the clergy and other lay ministers in the liturgy-especially as: Crucifer, Banner Bearer, Torch Bearers, and Server.
Cantor - A musically competent individual designated by the Priest to chant certain portions of the Liturgy (the Prayers of the People, the Great Litany, the Exsultet at the Easter Vigil, etc.). No license is required.
Adult Choir - Rehearses at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and sings at the 10:00 liturgy and special services.
Eucharistic Minister (EM) - Lay persons invited by the Rector and licensed by the Bishop to assist with the administration of the Chalice when there are not sufficient clergy; may also be licensed to take communion to the sick and shut-in.
Eucharistic Visitor - Lay persons invited by the Rector and licensed by the Bishop to take communion to the sick and shut-ins immediately following the Sunday morning liturgies.
Worship Leader - A lay person invited by the Rector and licensed by the bishop to lead public worship in the absence of a cleric. Usually this means The Liturgy of the Word (Ante-Communion) or Morning or Evening Prayer. A Lay Reader may read an approved sermon .
Lector - A layperson who assists the priest in the Liturgy of the Word and by so doing shows forth that the Liturgy is the activity and responsibility of the whole People of God- not just clergy. At the invitation of the Priest the Lector may read the lesson from the Hebrew Scriptures, lead the gradual psalm and read the Epistle. (No license is required for this ministry.)
Oblationers - Those persons who present the Bread and Wine to the Priest at the Altar at the presentation of the gifts. These persons represent the fact that the People of God offer all that they are, have and hope to be to God in this Sacrifice of Praise and Thanksgiving.
Altar Guild - Trained and dedicated women and men who prepare the Altar, care for vessels, vestments, altar appointments, flowers and linens used in the Church's worship.
Flower Delivery - Take flowers from the Altar to sick and infirm following Sunday worship.
Bread Baker - Bake loaf bread for use at Communion at 10:00 liturgy.
Handbells - rehearse Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m.
Children's Choir Sponsor (St. Cecilia Choir, grades 3-5)- Assist the leader with activities, discipline, etc.
Usher - Individuals (not gender specific)who provide service sheets, assist in seating, collect the people's gifts and direct worshippers to communion. They also "pick up" the Church after the people have left and secure all doors and turn out lights in the Church.

Visiting- sick, shut-in, etc. Newcomer Ministry
- Helping newcomers to find their ministry in the congregation.
Transportation -
Provide rides for parishioners to parish activities, as well as
doctor's appointments, perhaps assist with basic shopping, etc.
Crisis Committee - A Committee of the ECW which provides a ministry of food and presence in acute crisis situations, such as bereavement or hospitalization.
Stephen Ministry - Trained lay people offer a ministry of confidential, compassionate listening. For more information, click here.
