All Souls Chapel = chapel in the east arm or "transept" of the church. See the floorplan of St. Mary's.
Anointing of the Sick = the priest uses olive oil which has been blessed for the purpose to mark the shape of a cross on a person's forehead, then lays hands upon their head and prays for their healing. Also called "Holy Unction," the anointing may be received for specific illness of body, mind or spirit.
Holy Eucharist = The Mass, The Lord's Supper, in which we hear the word of God, pray, and receive the bread and wine which is the True Presence of Jesus to heal us, forgive us, and feed us in our spiritual journey.
Morning Prayer = the official daily prayers of the Church, consisting of selections from the Psalms and the Bible, and prayers for the Church and for the world. Alson referred to using the older English term "Matins", the service may be chanted or spoken. At St. Mary's it is spoken, and lasts approx. 20 minutes.
Rite I, Rite II = The Book of Common Prayer uses two different styles of language. Rite I is the older Elizabethan English, with "thee" and "thou" and the like. Rite II replaces the older forms with modern ones, like "you" and "your." Here's a sample:
Rite I:
Remember, O Lord, what thou hast wrought in us and not what we deserve; and, as thou hast called us to thy service, make us worthy of our calling; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Rite II:
Remember, O Lord, what you have wrought in us and not what we deserve; and, as you have called us to your service, make us worthy of our calling; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
