I am looking for the ancestors of John H.(Henry) Gee b. 1842 in MO. He married Fannie "Sis" Shipley, d/ of Hugh Shipley. John and Fannie lived in Kennett, MO and also in TX where Fannie died. Their children were Rosie (Sherrill) b. MO, Matilda (Poole), John H. b. MO, William Andrew "Andy" b. 13 Nov 1879 in TX. Andy married Maud Walpole in Mississippi Co., AR in Nov. 1901. John H. Gee 2nd marriage was to a widow, Mary J. Haggard. Thank you for any clues you can give me. 

I am looking for the family of John Gee from Virginia. John died on May 14, 1865 in Gallia County Ohio.  John was a prominent member of the town. John donated the land for the AME church and hence the church was named in his honor. I know he traces back to Virginia, possibly the Berkley plantation. I have no other further info. I need much more. Thanks in advance. 

I'm looking for information on my ggf Amos Milton Gee. He was born 02-12-1868 He died in 1940. He lived in the area of St Charles Mich. in 1911. His wife's name was Eva Smart.

I am actually researching the DUPREE side of my family. I have been told that a Jesse DUPREE married a Boyce GEE (female) in NC. One of their children was Gee DUPREE born 24 July 1782 in Houston Co., GA. If anyone can help me determine if this DUPREE did marry this GEE I would greatly appreciate it. 

Searching for the parents of my grandfather, John Gee (b Abt. 1870, Springfield, IL). His father was a doctor in Springfield. John Gee and his brother Charles (b Bet 1868-1872) left IL around 1883, following the death of their mother and their father's remarriage, and came to TX, where they lived with their uncle, Dr. Ben Gee, in Tyler, TX. John Gee later married (1)Winnie Gressett and (2)Lillie May Arnold Sutton (b 1893, St. Joe, AR). As an adult, John Gee lived in Ellis County, TX. His brother Charles Gee lived in Ft Worth, TX. 

Looking for information on my great grandparents on back. My grandpa was Dewey Burton Gee (Born 1881 - Died 1964) married to Edna Pearl Rutter in Gibson County, Indiana. His dad was Enoch Lyman Gee. He was married to Mary Sabrina Jane Breeden. I cannot find out anything about Enoch's parents, children etc. I believe they may have come out of Ohio or Virginia. Looking for Mary Gee born 1790s in Cheshire, England. Would like to identify her parents. She was married to Nehemiah Maddock born in Northamptonshire, England. Around 1856 they migrated from Clipston, Naseby Northamptonshire to Lorain County, Ohio. Could Mary have had relatives of the Gee name in this area at the time? Could Mary have been a cousin of the Gee families settled in northwest Missouri about that time? This couple, my GGGrandparents remained in this area of Ohio the rest of their days. Looking for information on William and Alice Gee. Came to Downingtown, Pa. from England following the Boer War. Alice maiden name was Wollard. William had a sister Molly married to Fred Lawn also from England that also lived in the Downingtown area. We believe the families were originally from Wales. Any info would be greatly appreciated. 

My sister-in-law's maiden name is Martha Virginia Gee. Family Bible lists her parents as Dr. James Nathan Gee and Lucy Ellen Hackard. Dr. Gee's parents are John H. Gee and Virginia Sparks. Lucy Hackard's parents are John Henry Hackard and Martha Reeves. According to 1920 Census Report, Anderson Co., Texas James Gee b.1868?, Physician, father from Virginia, mother from Alabama, married to Cora. Martha's stories recount a marriage that produced two sons (Howell?), another marriage that produced two daughters (Martha and her sister, Mary). Obviously, there was a third marriage since Cora was raising the two girls in the 1920 census. The family was raised in the Anderson Co. (Mount Selman, Palestine) area of Texas. Thought this might help someone else since I detected several common first names in family. If anyone makes a connection to this family, I would appreciate information so I can fill in her family tree.

I am an African American 21 year-old Gee and I have always been curious about my father's history. He is from Smith County, Texas and I often visit Gee's Memorial when we visit our relatives. Although, we have family reunions, they only occur with those around (in the Smith County area) us. I would like to know more about the migration of African American Gees to Texas and their origins. I am looking for information about my grandfather, Warren Wallace Gee, born around 6/10/1885 in Huntsville, AL. He married Annie Mae Cain in Summerville, AL, and they had 10 children Mary, Violet, Wallace, Albert, 2 stillborn, Howard Rosselle - my dad, Warren, Clarence, and Margerite. I am looking for the names of granddaddy Gee's parents, and any other information in that line.

My great grandmother was named Eliza Gee. She was born on July 22, 1828. She married Thomas Knott in 1848. Since he resided and worked in Fall River, Massachusetts, presumably that is where she also resided and is the likely locale of the marriage. On or about 1871 Eliza, her husband migrated to Eastern Township, Ottertail County, Minnesota where they homesteaded a farm in that Township. Eliza died on July 12, 1905 and is buried in the Knott plot in the Parkers Prairie, Minnesota Cemetary. She is joined there by her husband, one son, Thomas, his wife Etta Mae Hazen Knott, one daughter, Peggy Knott Walley. In addition to Thomas and Peggy, Eliza and her husband had three other children, one John Knott of Chicago, one Mrs. Charles Hazen, of Hewitt, Minnesota and one child name unknown to me. I would appreciate any information that could be furnished on Eliza Gee and her family.

There seems to be family lore that my branch of the Gee family originated first in Scotland (as MacGee from clan MacKay) who were sent to Ireland and settled in Northern Ireland. From there they migrated to Canada (Hamilton, Ontario?) and eventually to the United States where they dropped the Mac from the name and became "Americanized" as Gee. They settled in Syracuse, N.Y. and my great-grandfather was John Alexander Gee married Anna Nicholson (family may have lived in Canada and migrated at the same time as the MacGees) whose children were Mildred Gee and John Alexander Gee, Jr. John Alexander Gee, Jr. was my father who lived December 7, 1917 (I think that was the year) through January, 1988. I would appreciate any assistance you could give me in verifying this family legend.

Well folks, this is probably a touchy subject for most but in the interest of finding my great-grandfather and his siblings. Here goes. My great-grandfather only appears in 1870 census of Lunenburg, VA, where he lived in the Pleasant Grove township. His name was Littleton Gee. There is no indication as to his age. He could not have been an infant though because one of his sons (my grandfather) was born 1891. Becuase he was African American he obviously adopted the name from one of the GEE families. That means he obviously was a slave. I'm trying to find any information I can about any other relatives (parents, siblings, etc.). He later married a young woman by the name of Henrietta (last name unknown). Any information would help.

I am looking for information on my great grandmother Marcelene Gee. She was the second wife of David Marchand Beauch. They were married 3/20/1886 probably in or near Lima, Ohio. I believe that he probably met her in Canada. She is supposed to be of French Canadian and native American decent. She may have been a native "princess". Am trying to find information on the black/African-American Gee line that came to central Texas, probably as slaves, with the Gee families.

I've tried to find where my line of Gee's came from, before Arkansas. My g-grandfather was Charles Hiram Gee, born in 1847 in Arkansas and married Rebecca Cossey. In my tree, I have 1 sister, Louisa and 3 brothers, Isaac, George, and Charles Joseph, children of Joseph and Eleanor (Seaton) Gee that came to Gratiot Co. Harry Edwin Gee married Lucille Barnhouse and had 4 children. Harry passed on in August of 1994. Paul Gee married Ester Kimmle and had 5 children, Marla, Paul David, Kathy, Robert, and Lori Lynne. Ruth Ann Gee married Bill Weaver and had 3 children, Carol, John, and Rabecca. Herb Gee married Evenyn Leeson and had Katherine RaeLynne. Second marriage to Rosi Rightman and had 2 children, Brittany and Jeremiah. Shirley Gee married and had Steven. Second marriage to Tom Kelty and had twins, Patrick and Micheal. Paul lives in Florida with his wife Emaculla, as do most of his children. Ruth and Bill live in Georgia as do thier children. Herb lives in Canfield, OH with his family. Shirley and Tom are currently in Buffalo New York. their children are in the Youngstown, OH area. Lucille summers in Canfield, Ohio where the family originated and winters in Florida.

My grandfather was Thomas Owen Gee born 9/9/1880 in Quebec. His father was Albert Owen Gee born 10/20/1852. Albert had six children. Frances who married James Edward Shea, and Albert, Alfred and Walter who married Rosebella Wagner in 1918 in Woodstock, Oxford Ontario. And the last one is Polly. James GEE (chr 28/02/1779 Longstanton) married a Susanna (MORLING/MAWLING?) 6/11/1799 Knapwell, CAM, ENG.
Their daughter Frances GEE (b abt 1811 Longstanton CAM ENG) married a Stephen GOLDING 30/12/1829 Longstanton, CAM, ENG. They came to South Australia. I'm trying to trace my tree on my mother's side, who lived in Mississippi, generally aroung the Yazoo County area, but not limited to. Her name was Clara Jones(Jones was her maiden name) she married Jessie C. Williams, my father, and her grandmother was a "Gee". She said they were often refered to as "Creek Indians" and she can recall her long pony tail. Please contact with any info.

Looking for info re John Phillip Gee born abt. 1844 or his father, possibly also John Gee. Apparently, John Gee SR, born in England came to US before 1844, had a house that was where Brooklyn Bridge was built. Had at least one child, John Phillip Gee, born in NY circa 1844. Returned to England sometime before 1880 because John Phillip Gee married an English girl, Louisa Grice of Suffolk and settled in Kent. Possibiliity is when John Gee, sr. returned to England he may have left a child in US, possibly a married daughter whose descendants ended up in New Jersey. Ring any bells???

She died November 25, 1950 in Mexia, Texas. Her mother's name was Millie Gee and her father's name was Osban Winfield. She came to Texas with her uncles Squire and Paul Gee and other relatives. No dates are given for their departure from Virginia or their arrival in Texas. Will be glad to receive any information.

I Believe that four of my ancestors Johnathan Gee, Elizabeth Gee, Matilda Gee, Florrie Gee all arrived in New York on 16th April 1879. I have been unable to find any trace of them from then on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Seeking connections of Wallace Warren GEE, b.June 10, 1878 d.April 20, 1958, m. January 15, 1896 to Annie May CAIN, b.October 14, 1879,d.May 9, 1939. Please, please help me find more. I've hit dead ends and brick walls everywhere I go.
