Looking for info on my family line. My Father is George H. Gee born in White plains, Neb. in 1930/40's. He has a sister, My Aunt Named DeElla, that is living in Kansas. His father is James Marion Gee and was in the muster call out of Elgin, Neb. for either the Spanish American War of the Indian wars. I remember when I was very young that Grandpa Gee (James) had a coat of arms that was red with swords on it. James Gee's father was - I believe named George also. My grandpa (James Gee) had numerous brothers and sisters. I recall an Uncle Pug (not his real name) and an uncle "Ick" as I was told I looked like him but I never knew as he died before I was born. I have been told his father, my great grandfather George, was out of Wisconsin. Any info would help - Thanks!

Hello: my great-grandfather was named Peter Gee, and his middle name may have been Thomas. He was born around 1890 and by 1910 at least was living in San Francisco, California. Supposedly, he had a sister whose family later joined the Mormon church and did a lot of research on the family line, but we don't have it and can't find it. Peter married a woman named Irma from France and his father may have been a Thomas Gee. Supposedly the family came from Manchester, England, and perhaps Hull or Lonsdale, England. Can you provide any information that might help us determine if there is a connection? We're having trouble finding Peter's connections and can't go back earlier than him.

I am looking for descendants of John Gee (b 1810) and Hannah Green Gee (b 1811). John and Hannah moved from England to NYC in 1834 or so and had three children, Eleanor, John Phillip and Hannah. The family later returned to England, but the two girls returned to or stayed to live in American and settled in Jersey City NJ.
Interesting bit here, makes me suspect something was up...I found a ship record 1842 of just Eleanor and Hannah coming to US on a ship from England BUT I have a letter to their mother dated 1834 from her father in England asking how she likes America. I guess it is possible the couple moved to the US, went back to have Eleanor and Hannah in England...later returned to US where John was born in 1843 in NYC on Division St. Then at some point John and his dad returned to England without the two girls(John's mother, Hannah Green died while here)...I started to suspect that the older daughter may have gone back to England to have a baby (Hannah) and passed her off as a little sister...but I don't know....any thoughts on that greatly appreciated.
The younger sister, Hannah Gee (b 1839 or 1840) married a man named Hinkle. She had a daughter, Eleanor who married a Decy and the Decy's had a daughter named Ruth Decy. Ruth married a man named Melosh and had at least two sons sometime just before WWII, Richard and Everett Melosh.
Ring any bells? I'd love to meet Hannah's descendants.

My Gee family goes back to Henry Gee, 1831, Werneth. Henry probably had a brother named Edwin. Henry also had a son named Edwin, b. 1889. Edwins' siblings were John, Ann ,Sam ,Philis. The Gee's were born in Werneth and Bredbury, Cheshire. Edwin Gee married Martha Kenyon in 1885 at Holy Trinity, Tameside, in 1885. Edwin had a daughter, Ann Gee, who married Sam Woodhead at St. Pauls, Hyde Ann was born 1890 in Romiley. The WOODHEADS came from Stalybridge, and I trace them back to Henry Woodhead, 1831. Sam Woodhead was born in 1889 and immigrated with Ann Gee, his wife, around 1912 to Rhode Island. The Gee family worked in Cotton Mills. I don't have much more info about the Gee's but I have some beautiful pictures from the late 1890's of Edwin and his family. Are my Gee's related to anyone elses Gee's?

My great grandmother, Julia Gee was supposedly 100% Cherokee Indian, on the 1880 US Census from Ashley County, Arkansas. Her mom, my great great grandmother, was named Lear Gee. Julia had a husband Nathanial Bloomer, and their daughter Annie Lou Bloomer was my paternal grandmother. I would like to establish the geneology of my paternal grandmother, because I'm 1/8 Cherokee by this oral history, and I want to better understand my native American heritage.

Joseph (b.15th Jul 1861), Samuel (b.26th Jun 1865) and Arthur (b.26th Aug 1867) - all born in Loughborough, Leicestershire UK - went to America sometime after 1881. They were the sons of Joseph (b. 5th May 1827) and Mary ? (b. 28th Jan 1829) GEE. Do these names mean anything to anyone? An elderly descendant of their brother John Henry (b. 3rd April 1852) would dearly love to know what happened to them after they reached America. Many thanks.

I am seeking biographical information about Elizabeth V Gee of Chicago and her family. She was a young woman during the Civil War; her brother was in the Union army. She later married (ca. 1866-70?) a former Confederate soldier (name unknown) who had been captured at Chattanooga and was imprisoned at Camp Chase for six months. He was later exchanged and served in the Confederate army as a Lieutenant at Harper's Ferry West Virginia where he captured Lizzie's brother. After he married Miss Gee he settled in Chicago. He was originally from Louisiana. Any documentary information you can provide on Lizzie V. Gee or her spouse would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My father was Harry Ernest Gee, born in Montreal, Quebec in January, 1888. His father was Henry Charles Gee and mother Ann both born in the UK but I do not know where. Obviously they came across the water prior to 1888. They had a second son Charles who moved to Kentucky in the early 1900s. It appears that Henry died in Montreal and Harry and his mother moved to Toronto prior to WW1. His mother died here in 1920. As birth records before 1900 were done by parish, I have been unable to trace them any further back. Anyone with information on this branch(?), please contact me. I'm stuck! Thanks.
